We stayed in Kamaole Sands for two weeks – June 15-29, 2007 – my husband and I, our two sons, and my Mom. Here is my attempt to write a description of our trip, that I hope can be useful for getting ideas of what one can do in Maui, especially first-time visitors. For our trips we mostly used Maui Revealed guidebook by Andrew Doughty. We had two more guidebooks with us, but Maui Revealed was the most interesting to read and easy to follow.
